LEGO Robotics Club at The Wellbeing Hub, Warminster
For homeschoolers and school students alike, ages 8 – 16

Join us for a year-round LEGO Robotics adventure!
Our club runs with an early start for those who prefer a quieter session, then opens up for the after-school crowd.

Terms 1–3: First LEGO League Challenge (FLL)
From September to March, we’ll prepare for the exciting First LEGO League Challenge – an exclusive, global competition that promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation using LEGO Robotics.

  • Term 1: Warm up with problem-solving challenges, learn robotics basics, and explore this year’s theme – UNEARTHED.

  • Term 2: Form our competition team, develop and research our innovation project, and master the robotics competition mat.

  • Term 3: Perfect the project presentation and push for our highest competition scores.

The FLL competition is usually late February or early March. The regional competition is held in Bristol hosted by The IET

Students joining the team should commit to at least once a week during Terms 2 & 3 at minimum.

Newcomers will benefit from the insight of some of last year’s team.

We welcome nervous students and those previously put off public speaking – this challenge is a fantastic confidence builder. We have seen selectively mute individuals just getting on with it and students start the competition not wanting to take part in the presentation and slowly grow in confidence until they are enthusiastically coming forward to answer questions in a public forum. This is a wonderful experience for both parents and teachers to witness.

After the Competition
From Term 4 onward, we’ll dive deeper into LEGO Robotics with past FLL mats and the ever-popular LEGO Robot Wars.

Payment: Each term is payable in full in advance.
